| Marina Micheli started to paint at a very young age and developed her talent drawing any subject that inspired her. Born in Trieste, Italy, Marina Micheli began her art training in a school of drawing where she studied portraiture. Afterwards she attended the Atelier L’Off for three years, founded by Italian painter and sculptor Francesco Grazioli where she studied the human figure. It was during this period of time that Ms. Micheli’s mythologically inspired human figure paintings were shown in both group and solo exhibits in Italy. |
| Expanding on her background in the human figure, Marina became attracted to the unique eloquence of the animal world. She views her animal portraiture and wildlife illustration as an exploration of the common nature shared by both humans and animals. |
| Marina Micheli has lived and worked as an artist in New York City since 2000 and has participated extensively in exhibitions both in the U.S. and Italy. She is a member of The Artists' Registry of the AKC Museum of the Dog, the League of Animal Artists and the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. She is also available as an illustrator for publication projects of every kind. |
